To help you make sure you’re as prepared as possible, we’ve put together a few tips to help you avoid getting flagged by DSPs on your next release.

Whenever our store partners detect unauthorized activity on their platforms such as streaming fraud or copyright infringement, they notify us, and we then notify you with details of the claim and next steps.

Here at Level, streaming fraud and copyright infringement is not tolerated, and we have the right to suspend any accounts that are actively participating in the manipulation of streaming counts or unauthorized distribution of their music.

We do recognize that there are many companies out there taking advantage of independent artists just looking to promote their music and we want you to know what to look out for. Be mindful of companies that claim to do the following:

Help you get your music more streams on a particular platform for a flat fee
Help quickly increase followers on your artist profiles for a flat fee
Claim to help market your music with “ads” but don’t give details on the types of ads that will run

Always make sure to do extensive research before working with any company claiming to help promote your music.

It’s also important to make sure that you have all necessary permissions and rights to the audio you’re distributing before uploading music to Level, especially if you’re using 3rd party beats/instrumentals.
