What a journey it's been so far.

This past June, Level officially launched out of beta.

Since then, we have been overwhelmed by the incredible music that’s been released via Level.

And even more so, by the journeys that you have brought us along on.

From first releases to debut EPs. Local gigs to national tours. Press mentions to playlist features. A thousand to a million streams (and counting).

Looking toward the next year, we have so much we want to share and accomplish with you.

New features and tools to help you get the most out of your releases.  More services and stores to expand your reach. Continued efforts to spotlight the incredible talent from our own community through our editorial program, initiatives, and opportunities.

This is just the beginning.

Check out our Best of 2019 playlist, featuring a few (it was hard to choose!) of our favorites this last year and a roundup of what Level artists are looking forward to in the new year ↴

Describe your 2019 in three words

Breaking myself open

Describe your hopes for 2020 in three words

Abundant creativity [and] connection

What musical accomplishment are you most proud of from this past year?

Releasing my first ever solo music and getting past the anxiety and nervousness was a huge feat!

What’s something different you’re looking to try out as an artist in the new year?

I want to get myself out of the “album cycle” mentality where you create for a spurt then spend all your time planning and strategizing [the] release and not getting in the studio. My artist self goes limp in the process and I feel drained. Looking to find little ways to create daily and keep the iterative creative process going as I release my EP in February.

What musical accomplishment are you most proud of from this past year?

I dropped 4 singles but the most recent, “I Feel Like Crying,” was arranged and produced solely with string quartet and vocals. I’ve always wanted to work with live strings, so this was a bit of a dream come true.

Releasing my debut full-length and bringing my live show to Paris
